tuberous breasts is based on <a href=\"https:\/\/doctorantolin.com\/mama-tuberosa-como-identificar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">identifying tuberous breasts<\/a> and assessing their severity.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers continue to learn about tuberous breasts, so diagnosis is somewhat subjective and can present in various forms.<\/p>\n<p>What tuberous breasts have in common, besides their tubular appearance, is that they lack breast tissue both vertically and horizontally.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuberous breasts tend to have <strong>a space of more than 3.75 centimetres between them.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>tissue surrounding the nipple may appear constricted or collapsed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The dark area of the <strong>areola<\/strong> may appear <strong>enlarged.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A pair of tuberous breasts often lack symmetry, with <strong>one appearing noticeably larger than the other.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Rather than a round appearance, tuberous breasts may appear <strong>oval, pointed or tubular.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">What causes tuberous breasts?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Although the <a href=\"https:\/\/doctorantolin.com\/pechos-tubulares-causas-mamas-tuberosas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">causes of tuberous breasts<\/a> are not clearly defined, <strong>it is thought that there may be a hereditary component<\/strong> and familial predisposition, leading to an anomaly of the superficial fascia which, under normal circumstances, becomes distended by the mammary gland during development in puberty.<\/p>\n<p>In these patients, the <strong>superficial fascia<\/strong> may be abnormally <strong>thick, fibrous, with strong adhesions to the dermis or muscular layer,<\/strong> particularly at the level of the lower quadrants, with a <strong>limited capacity to expand,<\/strong> thus causing hypoplastic development, lack of lower pole formation and herniation of the gland through the nipple-areola complex, where the gland encounters the least resistance to growth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } P { extent of correction needed. <strong>Most commonly, the patient is admitted to hospital for one night.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Regarding the <strong>surgical technique, it is performed under general anaesthesia.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Preference for the periareolar approach,<\/strong> for two reasons:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">This approach allows us to manage and treat the mammary gland in a simpler and more precise manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">In patients with abnormally enlarged areolas requiring reduction, we use the same access incision.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Placement of the breast implant in a subglandular plane or dual plane<\/strong> (upper half submuscular, lower half subglandular). The breast implant must be positioned closer to the skin to expand it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Preference for anatomical implants,<\/strong> as they provide more fullness in the lower pole, which is often deficient in these cases. Additionally, anatomical implants facilitate management of the asymmetry that is usually present.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Treatment of the mammary gland is essential.<\/strong> Various surgical techniques allow redistribution and harmonious organisation of glandular volume.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Release or even division of the constrictive ring,<\/strong> to allow expansion of the lower pole.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Recovery from tuberous breast surgery<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">Postoperatively, recovery and follow-up are no different from conventional cases, although you should be aware that whilst <strong>the result looks good immediately, it improves during the first months<\/strong> <strong>as the skin of the lower pole relaxes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will wake up in the operating theatre and then be transferred to the recovery area.
